Meeting Mr. Leo!

Emily and I got to meet Mr. Leo, my friend Katie's nephew the other week and had an absolutely wonderful time! Here's a bit of a play-by-play through photos of how their first play-date went.

Leo: How dare this chick take my toy. What is she thinking. I've never had to deal with this before.

Leo: "Excuse me, miss. I'd like that back now."

Emily: "Did somebody say something?"

Leo: "Umm...excuse me. I'd really like that back."

Emily: Hmm, these keys look cool too.

Leo: "I SAID, GIVE ME BACK MY TOY!"

Emily: "You mean the one I am sucking on at this moment? Haha, I don't think so!

In the end they worked things out and planned to get together once again. Though next time Leo is keeping the good stuff at home!

My Own Little Rascal

It's Alfalfa!

9 Months

Emily turned 9 months on Thursday! She weighed in at 16 lbs 3 oz (10th percentile) and is 28.5 inches long (75-90th percentile). She finally got her first tooth right around Christmas. Still not that interested in crawling but she's starting to walk a little on her own. We're working on the crawling thing and hoping maybe this is the month it will happen!

Cabin Fever

Even though it hasn't been that cold outside I've found myself not getting out as much, which leads to  cabin fever. It was time to make a change and get outside. So a pretty bundled kid and I went for a walk and took a turn on the swings. Emily missed her American swings! The ones back in Russia were weird and only suitable for kids big enough to hold on.

I took a bit of a hiatus from posting but now that I am back on Central Standard Time, the holidays are over and the cleaning ladies have come, I am finding a minute to post!
