butter to my bread

I'm a huge fan of Julia Child and cooking in general. In the movie "Julie and Julia," Julia Child's husband Paul toasts to her, "You are the butter to my bread, the breath of my life." I love this quote and hence my blogs name, 'the butter to my bread.' The meaning is quite obvious. Life alone is just a plain piece of white bread. But add a pat of butter (husband, baby, family, friends) and you've got one delicious bite!
