Ravinia

Friday night we went to see the Bo Deans play at Ravinia. Every time we go there we ask ourselves, "Why don't we do this more often?" What other music venue lets you bring your own drink and food in? It's so pretty with the trees, sitting on the lawn, being neighborly with your fellow concert goers. I also found out via Wikipedia that Ravinia is the oldest outdoor music venue in North America. So there's a tidbit of history for those of you who care.

The Bo Deans were great, played some of our favorites and I'd grade them a solid A. Emily though...I'll have to give her a C+ for her first concert. While she wasn't bad...she could have been a little better behaved. I think between me and Brian we had 5 whole minutes of alone time where one of us wasn't holding her. But hey, she's a baby, I'll give her a break :) I think next time though we'll be calling one of the grandmas to watch our little stinker.

Dad and daughter enjoying time together at Ravinia. (I tried several times to get a shot of Brian and Emily without that man's large butt in the background, but was obviously unsuccessful.)
